Description:
This begins the start of an evolving demonstration. It’s a working back-end for an event registration application.
Notes:
- No styling has been applied
- For simplicity there are no views. Simply controller generated content.
- It’s assumed that the KohanaPHP framework, MySQL, and PHP are all installed and functional.
Highlights:
- Database CRUD statements with data grid.
- Basic ORM has_many/belongs_to relationship.
- FORGE module dateselect() function demo.
Files:
UML Diagram - [DIA Format] [PNG Format]
MySQL Script - [events.sql] [registrars.sql]
Kohana Files - [application.tar.gz] (includes folders to be copied into your models and controllers folders)
Note: Once you have copied the project files to the appropriate directories browse to /kohana/index.php/dbd/examples)
nice example, thanks for sharing!
I saw that you chose to put the form/grid creation functions in the model files. Is this the “normal” MVC practice?
how about putting it in the controller?
